Episode 5 features Winnipeg Jets legendary goaltender, Joe Daley!

Joe Daley spent five seasons in the NHL playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Buffalo Sabres and Detroit Red Wings before signing with the WHA’s Winnipeg Jets in 1972.

He played seven seasons for his hometown Winnipeg Jets, winning three Avco Cup championships, highlighted by an incredible 1975-76 season where Daley posted a 41-17-1 record. Daley retired at the end of the 1979 season, which happened to be the final year of the WHA.

On this episode, we talked about growing up in East Kildonan idolizing Terry Sawchuk, his sports memorabilia store, playing against legends such as Bobby Orr and Wayne Gretzky, winning three Avco Cups for his hometown, playing pro hockey without a mask, why he left the NHL and much more!
